Buffalo Mozzarella, San Marziano and Piennello Tomatoes, Artichokes, Zucchini, Finocchio, Breads of all sizes, shapes and tastes and wines of ancient origins are to be found and enjoyed in all their optimum quality.
The influence of so many invading cultures over the millenia have left their mark on the cuisine, music and architecture of today. We will visit production sites, wineries and consume food & drink in hosterie,trattorie,locande and restaurants for all tastes.
The Campania Region enjoys a proud heritage of fine wines and was even considered by the ancient Romans to be the finest wine-growing area, particularly the Falernian region near Naples,which produced their favorite white wine Falernum. Today known as Falerno.
Part of this rich tradition the southern italian kitchen provides a bounty of delectable dishes that leave you hungering for more!
Just bite into a rosy-red mediterranean vine-ripened tomato drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil pressed from olives that have been kissed by the salty sea breezes and you'll believe you've tasted paradise!
The Creamy Buffalo Mozzarella, Handmade Pasta, locally produced products such as Prosciutto, Salami, Provolone del Monaco Cheese are some culinary pleasures not to be missed.
